Glen Rock Depot sits between the River Arts District and the Southside Neighborhood

Planned Greenway

The Glen Rock Depot is adjacent to a City of Asheville planned greenway—the Town Branch Creek Greenway. This protected open space for conservation and recreation will provide residents and tenants of the Glen Rock Depot with access to walking and biking paths to enjoy the beauty of our region—but even more exciting—this greenway will provide easy pedestrian access between the Glen Rock Depot, AB Tech, Mission Hospitals and downtown Asheville.

270 Depot Street, The Soapy Dog is Asheville’s first do-it-yourself dog wash. They also have great leashes and collars and other dog-related items.

342 Depot Street has just been purchased by a prominent local artist and Asheville resident who plans to turn the building into artist studios. 342 Depot will provide a much needed connector between the five-way intersection near Clingman Café and the Glen Rock Depot, and thereby encouraging more foot traffic.

352 Depot Street houses six residential apartments as well as offices for an interior design firm, the Glen Rock Depot’s landscape architecture firm, SiteWorks Studios, a chiropractor, and a physical therapist.

357 Depot Street houses Asheville Greenworks. Susan Roderick chose Depot street when she moved Asheville Greenworks (formerly Quality Forward) from downtown Asheville and she has been improving the streetscape of our neighborhood ever since. Also at this location is Carolina Cornerstone Construction, a Depot Street resident for decades.

375 Depot Street is “Studio 375.” Steven Kuell and sons own this building directly across the street from 372 Depot. Studio 375 is currently at 100% capacity with art studios, an advertising firm, and metal working workshops with Earthspeak Arts.

414 Depot Street is Green’s Mini Mart. Owned and operated by the Green family for decades, this gas station, convenience store, deli and Laundromat is a neighborhood staple and meeting place.
